Stephanie Wells was born and raised in Hampton Roads. After receiving her bachelor’s degree from Old Dominion University, Stephanie attended Elon University School of Law in Greensboro, North Carolina. While attending Elon, Stephanie interned for a local non-profit to help advocate for children, who were survivors of domestic violence, both in and out of North Carolina’s Court System. Stephanie also interned for the Legal Aid Society of South Eastern Virginia focusing on landlord tenant law, family law, domestic violence, and consumer fraud. During her time at Elon, Stephanie received accolades such as the Advocacy Fellowship, Dean’s List and North Carolina’s Pro Bono Award.
Prior to graduating Elon, Stephanie married her husband, who’s currently an active duty service member in the United States Navy. Once her husband received orders for Norfolk, Virginia, Stephanie sat for and passed the Virginia State Bar Examination. After passing the Virginia State Bar Examination, Stephanie began to practice law in Hampton Roads at a local law firm focusing on estate planning, family law, and criminal law. Stephanie also volunteered with C.L.A.S.S. in Virginia Beach, Virginia, representing survivors of domestic violence in Virginia Beach Courts.
Stephanie joined Coleman & Coleman PLC in 2021 and is a member of the Virginia State Bar and is a licensed Settlement Agent under RESA.
Outside of work, Stephanie spends her time with her husband and their Golden Retriever. She enjoys taking their dog on adventures during the weekends and going to the beach.
